Description

A structured suede tote bag - forest green or burgundy - fully lined with full-grain leather on the inside. A size that transitions from office to weekend: fits a 13-inch laptop, a pouch, a wallet, keys, a book. Large front pocket with a magnetic flap for the phone. Main zippered compartment, two flat pockets at the back.

The semi-rigid structure stands upright when set down, does not sag under the arm. Four brass feet protect the bottom - the bag doesn’t tip over on a seat, doesn’t get dirty on the floor. Aged silver or gold hardware, tone-on-tone topstitching, short suede grain that develops a patina without wearing out.

    Short-grain cowhide suede, tanned to retain its density.

    The thickness is calibrated so that the bag remains supple in hand while maintaining its shape, neither too thin nor rigid. The saddle stitching runs along the corners and stress points: it is not decorative, it reinforces the areas that bear the load.
    The four brass feet are placed at the four corners of the base, slightly recessed so as not to protrude from the profile. The tone-on-tone seams follow the color of the suede. The thread disappears into the material.

      Won't the suede get dirty quickly with such bold colors?

      The suede used here is tanned to withstand daily use. The short grain limits dust adhesion. Forest green and burgundy are deep shades that develop a patina rather than getting dirty; small signs of wear blend into the material. The four brass feet protect the bottom, the most exposed area. A soft brush is enough for maintenance.
